Saturday Afternoon

I posted a dozen photos on facebook if you want further visual documentation, but I did indeed travel down the road to the ultra-shady Pho 99.  I was very disappointed to discover that it was not, in fact, 99 cent noodles.  More like $6.25.  Ridiculous.

They started us off with green tea.  It was warm though. and. Not sweet. and.  Nothing at all like the stuff I buy at Walgreens.  Very disappointing.

Then they served us some...plant roots.  They tasted something like celery.  Trey pointed out to me which of the two sauces before us was the spicy, and which the sweet.  He did not identify them accurately.  Much to my chagrin, and to the delight of everyone else.  I was told I handled the spicy pretty well though, after loading half a tablespoon onto my plant root.

We had to eat with chopsticks.  Trey and Lani were pretty experienced choppers.  Jake not so much.

I stuck with beef.  For beginners apparently.  Jake's was tripe and some other meat.  It was see through.

I sent an email to the music adviser about being a music minor.  There is just too big a whole in my life right now.  It's making me depressed.  I think I might drop to an English minor (which I'd basically be done with) and just do a political science major w/ music and English minors.

The last third or so of the day is yet to unfold.  Maybe we'll get a third post?!?

Currently listening: well...the passing of the elves.
